• Once a year, Bandon goes to the dogs

Published: Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 Once a year, Bandon goes to the dogs Every July, the Coos Kennel Club celebrates the dog days of summer with its annual dog show. More than 450 dogs attend the event, held on Bandon school grounds. The best dogs from all over the Northwest and the country arrive to show off and put their best paw forward. This year, the show will be held July 5 and 6, and the show is free. In addition to watching the dogs, visitors can visit the vendor booths set up around the area. The Bandon High School cheerleaders hold their annual pancake breakfast at St. John's Episcopal Church and the BHS football team sells hamburgers and hotdogs at the event.

See the Bandon Western World the week prior to the event for details of the show.
